The AZ-204 in-company training teaches your developers how to build cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The training covers the complete Azure developer portfolio: compute, storage, authentication, security, monitoring and integration. Please note: AZ-204 retires in May 2026 and will be replaced by AI-200 (Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate). OEM recommends completing the training and exam before May 2026.
Suitable for Azure developers, software engineers and IT professionals who design and build cloud applications and services on Microsoft Azure. Required prior knowledge: 1-2 years of Azure development experience and familiarity with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell and a programming language. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.
Day 1: Azure Compute and Web Applications
Implementing Azure App Service for web apps, API apps and mobile apps. Configuring Azure Functions for serverless workloads. Deploying Azure Container Instances and Azure Container Apps. Using Azure Kubernetes Service for container orchestration.
Day 2: Azure Storage and Databases
Implementing Blob Storage with SAS tokens and lifecycle management. Configuring Azure Cosmos DB for globally distributed NoSQL. Integrating Azure SQL Database in applications. Implementing Azure Cache for Redis for caching solutions.
Day 3: Authentication, Security and API Management
Integrating Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and authorisation with OAuth 2.0 and MSAL. Implementing managed identities for service-to-service authentication. Integrating Azure Key Vault for secrets management. Configuring API Management for publishing and securing APIs.
Day 4: Messaging, Event-driven Architectures and Monitoring
Implementing Azure Service Bus for message queues. Configuring Event Hub for big data streaming. Implementing Event Grid for event-driven architectures. Integrating Application Insights for distributed tracing and monitoring. Configuring Azure CDN. Preparation for the AZ-204 certification exam.
