The PL-500 in-company training teaches your RPA developers how to automate time-consuming and repetitive tasks with Microsoft Power Automate, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with desktop flows and UI automation. The training covers designing, developing, testing and managing RPA solutions. The official Microsoft course lasts 3 days and prepares for the Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate certification.
Suitable for RPA developers, software developers and automation specialists who want to automate business processes with Power Automate and desktop flows. Required prior knowledge: PL-900 or knowledge of Power Automate, basic experience with programming or scripting. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.
Day 1: Power Automate Fundamentals and Desktop Flows Basics
Understanding Power Automate architecture: cloud flows and desktop flows. Installing and configuring Power Automate Desktop. Building basic actions: UI automation for Windows applications, Excel automation and file management. Implementing web automation for browser tasks. Using variables, loops and conditions in desktop flows.
Day 2: Advanced Desktop Flows and Integrations
Advanced UI automation for complex applications. SAP automation and legacy system integration. Using OCR and AI Builder for document processing. Integrating cloud flows with desktop flows via triggers and parameters. Configuring machine groups for unattended RPA execution on multiple machines. Implementing error handling and retry logic.
Day 3: Monitoring, Testing and Deployment
Testing and debugging RPA solutions. Monitoring desktop flows via the Power Automate portal. Implementing logging and auditing. Applying ALM: exporting, importing and deploying solutions. Managing Power Automate machine groups and licences. Using Microsoft Copilot for automated flow generation. Preparation for the PL-500 certification exam.
