The AZ-400 in-company training teaches your DevOps engineers how to design and implement DevOps strategies on Microsoft Azure. The training covers the complete DevOps lifecycle: source control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, monitoring and security. The official Microsoft course lasts 4 days and prepares for the Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification. Required prior knowledge: AZ-104 or AZ-204.
Suitable for DevOps engineers, cloud engineers and developers who implement DevOps processes and tools. Required prior knowledge: AZ-104 or AZ-204. Experience with Azure, source control and CI/CD is required. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.
Day 1: DevOps Strategy and Source Control
Planning DevOps transformation, implementing Agile processes and organising teams. Implementing Git workflows with Azure Repos and GitHub. Configuring branch strategies, pull requests and code reviews.
Day 2: CI/CD Pipelines
Configuring Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions for continuous integration. Creating build pipelines for .NET, Java, Node.js and Python. Configuring release pipelines for multi-stage deployments to Azure environments. Package management with Azure Artifacts.
Day 3: Infrastructure as Code and Containers
Writing ARM templates and Bicep for Azure infrastructure. Implementing Terraform for multi-cloud IaC. Building and deploying Docker containers. Configuring Azure Container Registry. Implementing Kubernetes deployments with AKS.
Day 4: Testing, Security and Compliance
Implementing testing strategies: unit tests, integration tests and load tests in pipelines. Integrating OWASP security tests. Implementing secrets management with Azure Key Vault. Building compliance checks into pipelines. Integrating SonarQube for code quality.
Day 5: Monitoring, Feedback and Optimisation
Configuring Azure Monitor and Application Insights for application monitoring. Creating alerts and dashboards. Implementing feature flags with Azure App Configuration. Measuring deployment frequency and DORA metrics. Preparation for the AZ-400 certification exam.
