AI literacy for organizations

AI literacy training for organisations

From February 2025, AI literacy is legally required. The EU AI Act requires that all employees working with AI systems are demonstrably AI literate. This applies to every organisation in the Netherlands — from SME to municipality, from hospital to university. OEM offers recognised AI literacy training tailored to your organisation. Practical, immediately applicable and including a certificate of participation as proof of compliance.

What is AI literacy and why is it mandatory?

AI literacy means that employees understand what AI is, how it works, what it can and cannot do, and how it can be used responsibly and safely. The EU AI Act — which is fully in force from 2 August 2026 — requires all organisations using AI systems to ensure their employees are demonstrably AI literate.

This applies to employees working with:

Microsoft 365 Copilot — AI assistant in Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

ChatGPT and other generative AI tools — for writing texts, analysing data and answering questions.

AI-supported systems — such as HR systems with AI scoring, customer service chatbots and diagnostic AI tools in healthcare.

Automated decision-making — AI systems that make or support decisions that affect employees or customers.
