The CPENT Certified Penetration Testing Professional is EC-Council's most advanced practical penetration testing certification. CPENT goes beyond CEH: you learn how to conduct advanced penetration tests on enterprise networks, IoT environments, OT/SCADA systems, cloud environments and segmented networks. The exam is entirely practical: 24 hours of penetration testing in a live network. Those scoring 90% or higher automatically also receive the EC-Council LPT Master designation. The certification is recognised by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD 8140).

Suitable for experienced ethical hackers, penetration testers, security analysts and cybersecurity professionals who want to take their pentesting skills to expert level. Required prior knowledge: CEH certification or equivalent penetration testing experience.
The CPENT exam is entirely practical: 24 hours of penetration testing in a live, segmented network via the EC-Council ECC Exam Centre (online). Divisible into two 12-hour sessions. Those scoring 70-89% receive the CPENT certification; those scoring 90% or higher also automatically receive the LPT Master designation. The certification is valid for 3 years.
