What is PRINCE2?

PRINCE2 stands for Projects IN Controlled Environments and describes a step-by-step method for managing projects. The most current version is PRINCE2 7, released in 2023. This version places extra emphasis on sustainability, digital transformation and the role of the project manager in hybrid working environments. PRINCE2 exams are administered by PeopleCert and are available at two levels: Foundation and Practitioner.

PRINCE2 Foundation certification

PRINCE2 Foundation is the entry level of PRINCE2 certification. The exam tests your knowledge of the principles, themes and processes of the PRINCE2 framework. The Foundation certification is the required foundation for obtaining the higher PRINCE2 Practitioner level and is widely recognised by employers in project management.
