The DP-600 in-company training teaches your analytics engineers how to implement analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric: Microsoft's all-in-one data platform that combines data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics and business intelligence. The official Microsoft course lasts 4 days and prepares for the Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification. DP-600 is the most sought-after new data certification of 2025 and 2026.
Suitable for analytics engineers, data engineers, BI developers and data professionals who work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics or Power BI and want to migrate to or deepen their knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. Required prior knowledge: experience with SQL, data modelling and Power BI or Azure data services. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.
Day 1: Microsoft Fabric Fundamentals and Lakehouse
Understanding Microsoft Fabric architecture: OneLake, workspaces, capacities and items. Configuring the Fabric environment. Creating and managing lakehouses: files, tables and Delta format. Loading data via pipelines, notebooks and shortcuts. Using the SQL endpoint for lakehouse data.
Day 2: Data Pipelines, Notebooks and Data Warehouse
Using Data Factory in Fabric for data integration: pipelines, dataflows and connections. Writing Spark notebooks in Python and Scala for data transformation. Implementing medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Creating and managing Data Warehouse in Fabric. Using T-SQL for data analysis in Fabric Warehouse.
Day 3: Semantic Models, Power BI and Real-time Analytics
Creating Direct Lake semantic models for Power BI reports without data import. Optimising DAX measures for Fabric semantic models. Building Power BI reports on Fabric data. Implementing real-time analytics: creating Eventstream for streaming data ingestion. Using KQL databases and KQL querysets for real-time analysis.
Day 4: Security, Governance and ALM
Implementing security: workspace roles, item permissions and row-level security. Integrating Microsoft Purview for data governance and data protection in Fabric. Configuring Git integration for version control of Fabric items. Implementing deployment pipelines for DTAP environments. Monitoring and capacity management. Preparation for the DP-600 certification exam.
