The GH-900 in-company training teaches your employees the fundamental concepts, features and products of GitHub. You learn to use GitHub as a collaborative platform for version control, collaboration, project management and software development. GH-900 lasts 1 day and prepares for the Microsoft Certified: GitHub Foundations certification. The ideal starting point for developers, project managers and anyone who works with GitHub.

Who is this training for?

Suitable for developers, project managers, IT professionals and anyone who wants to learn to work with GitHub for version control and collaboration. Basic knowledge of programming is helpful but not mandatory. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.

Course content

Day 1: GitHub Foundations
Git basic concepts: repositories, commits, branches, merging and conflict resolution. GitHub as a platform: navigating the interface and core features. Creating, managing and organising repositories: README, LICENSE and SECURITY files. Collaboration: issues, pull requests, code reviews and discussions. GitHub Projects for task management and planning. GitHub Actions overview for CI/CD. GitHub security: Dependabot, secret scanning and security policies. GitHub Codespaces for cloud development.

• Duration: 1 day (2 sessions of 3 hours)
• Location: at your location, in Almere, Zwolle, Groningen, Utrecht, Enschede, Den Bosch, Breda, Meppel or Eindhoven (surcharge applies for locations outside Almere)
• Group size: minimum 4, maximum 12 participants per group
• Course materials: available as an option
• Exam: online via Pearson VUE

SLIM subsidy
