The AZ-305 in-company training teaches your cloud architects and senior IT professionals how to design scalable, reliable and secure Azure infrastructure solutions. The training covers governance, compute, application architecture, storage, data integration, authentication, networks, business continuity and migrations. The official Microsoft course lasts 4 days and is delivered at your location by a Microsoft Gold certified trainer. AZ-305 prepares for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, the most prestigious Azure certification for architects.
The AZ-305 in-company training is intended for Azure architects, senior system administrators and IT professionals with Azure administration experience who want to progress to the architect role. Required prior knowledge: experience deploying or administering Azure resources. Strong conceptual knowledge of Azure compute (VMs, containers, serverless), Azure virtual networking, Azure Storage and general application design concepts is required. AZ-104 or equivalent experience is strongly recommended. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.
Day 1: Design Identity, Governance and Monitoring Solutions
Designing identity solutions with Microsoft Entra ID, external identities and managed identities. Designing governance solutions with Azure Policy, management groups and landing zones. Designing monitoring solutions with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics workspaces, Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Sentinel. Case studies for governance architecture in enterprise environments.
Day 2: Design Data Storage and Data Integration Solutions
Designing non-relational data storage solutions with Azure Blob Storage, Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Cache for Redis. Designing relational data storage solutions with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on Azure VM. Designing data migration strategies. Designing data integration solutions with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics. Case studies for hybrid data architecture.
Day 3: Design Application Architecture and Authentication Solutions
Designing application architecture solutions including message queues (Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs), microservices with Azure Container Apps and Azure Kubernetes Service, API Management and caching. Designing authentication and authorisation solutions with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, managed identities and key vault. Case studies for modern application architecture in Azure.
Day 4: Design Network, Business Continuity and Migration Solutions
Designing network solutions including hub-and-spoke topology, Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, private endpoints and Azure Firewall Premium. Designing business continuity solutions with high availability, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery. Designing migration solutions for servers, databases and applications to Azure with Azure Migrate. Preparation for the official AZ-305 certification exam.
The training is delivered in sessions of 3 hours: morning, afternoon or evening. A full training day consists of two sessions of 3 hours each. The AZ-305 training lasts 4 full training days (8 sessions). Do you have more than 12 participants? We will schedule two groups of a maximum of 12 participants each on the same day. The trainer comes to your location or delivers the training at our training facility in Almere with free parking.
After the training your employees are fully prepared for the official AZ-305 exam for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. OEM offers the associated certification exam as an official Pearson VUE exam centre. The exam can be taken on location in Almere or online via remote proctoring.
As a Dutch SME, you may be eligible for the SLIM subsidy for ICT training. The Dutch government reimburses 60% of your training costs, up to a maximum of €24,999. The second 2026 period opens on 10 August.
