The DP-900 in-company training provides an introduction to the basic concepts of data and databases in Microsoft Azure. The training covers relational and non-relational data, big data analytics and data visualisation. DP-900 lasts 1 day and prepares for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification. The ideal starting point for anyone who wants to get started with data in Azure.

Who is this training for?

Suitable for anyone who wants an introduction to Azure data services: business users, IT professionals, data analysts, developers and managers who want to understand the possibilities of Azure data. No technical background required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure is helpful but not mandatory. Minimum 4 and maximum 12 participants per group.

• Understand relational Azure data services: Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure SQL Server on VM

Course content

Day 1: Azure Data Fundamentals
Core data concepts: structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. Understanding relational databases and SQL. Azure relational data services: Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL. Non-relational data services: Azure Cosmos DB, Blob Storage and Data Lake Storage. Analytical workloads: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. Data visualisation with Power BI.

• Duration: 1 day (2 sessions of 3 hours)
• Location: at your location, in Almere, Zwolle, Groningen, Utrecht, Enschede, Den Bosch, Breda, Meppel or Eindhoven (surcharge applies for locations outside Almere)
• Group size: minimum 4, maximum 12 participants per group
• Course materials: available as an option
• Exam: on location at OEM in Almere or online via remote proctoring
